HDD password - there are up to 2 master passwords: Password that you must enter to allow the BIOS to access the hard drive and continue booting into the operating system. Prevents an unauthorized user from accessing the HDD and booting into the operating system.
How to reset or unlock Dell Bios Password?
You can use a Dell Bios master password to unlock your laptop in minutes.
Please Follow this instructions:
Restart the laptop pressing F2 Every second,
Type the provided Dell Master Password we sent you,
Go to: security,
Then: passwords,
Look for the option: Unlock Setup, and click on it,
Type the Master password we sent you in the first field,
And leave the other 2 fields Empty !
Click on Save it,
Go to: administrator password,
Then Reset the password,
There will be 3 fields,
Type the Master password we sent you in the first field,
And leave the other 2 fields Empty !
Click on Save it,
Do the same with System password if set,
Do the same with user password if set,
Do the same with supervisor password if set,
Password should now be removed and the laptop will stop asking for the password on boot.
Note: there are up to 4 Bios master password for each Laptop!
